SCREENING INFORMATION

Product separation is a critical step in the screening business. It is important that the screening plant is designed to be as effective as possible. The Wildcat Trommel Screen has been designed by operators for operators. With four sizes available starting at 50 cubic yards per hour and up Wildcat offers screens with production capacities that are unmatched by anyone in the industry. With an extensive list of options Wildcat Trommels can be manufactured to fit any specific need.

Several exclusive features make the Wildcat stand out in the screening industry, they are as follows:

  • Drum access-- panels remove to allow access to trommel drum.
  • Brushes-- adjust from ground level.
  • Oversized product conveyor-- lays flat for use as picking belt.
  • Largest and lowest feed hopper on the market-- up to 7 cubic yards.
  • Radial screened product conveyor-- swings 200 degrees to acheive the largest stockpiling capability in the industry.
  • Drum and feed conveyor-- are reversible.
  • Attached conveyors capable of loading trucks-- the unit sets up in less than 15 minutes.
  • Screen bulky material-- with the large throat opening
  • Optional roll tarp-- keeps dust to a minimum.
  • Optional stainless steel construction-- for acidic materials.
  • Hydraulically operated - most functions are variable allowing the machine to be tailed to suit the material.

Low hopper loading-- no ramps are required, even with Wildcat's largest unit allowing the unit to be easily relocated.

The engine is mounted high away from dust to help keep the radiator clear. All bearings are sealed and the drum is chain driven from the rear creating a combination that is quiet and very low maintenance. When the Wildcat needs servicing, all major components are easily accessible.

COMPOST TURNING INFORMATION

• Material will be fully composted in less time – generally 8 – 12 weeks.
• More consistent end product.
• Wildcat's drum design puts more air into the windrow making the composting process more efficient. This means that the material will finish quicker and there will be fewer overs when it is screened.
• Wildcat has the largest and longest flail in the industry. This means that a larger portion of the windrow is being turned. This increases production (ground speed) and aeration.
• Wildcat also rotates the drum at a lower RPM, which reduces flail wear.
• Wildcat flails can also be accessed with impact tools all of our competitors must use hand tools.
• The engine on the Wildcat can be accessed on all four sides.
• Wildcat has the strongest frame in the industry.
• Wildcat has the strongest drum in the industry.
• Wildcat has more horsepower per cubic yard of material than all other manufacturers.
• The fluid coupler transfers nearly 100% of the power to the drum and simplifies the hydraulic system. This eliminates heating problems.
• Wildcat fluid couplers also provide shock resistance and can be engaged at any RPM; this eliminates operator error.
• Poly chain® drive system eliminates V-belts and chains providing less maintenance.
• Self-propelled units have a larger cab.
• Sealed drum bearings isolate the drum bearings from the material.
• Wildcat offers stainless steel tunnel liners not available with other manufacturers.
